We are visiting Disney World this June (2013). We won't know until late May whether we will need a suite (for 5) or a standard room (for 4). Should I book both rooms now and cancel the one we don't end up needing?

    Hi there Sherrie,

You can go ahead and book two reservations, but you will be charged a deposit for each reservation at the time of booking (the deposit is refundable if cancelled before 45 days prior to arrival.)  Many of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels can accommodate 5 guests in a standard room, so it may be worthwhile to book one of those options now, and then modify your reservation to a Family Suite at a later date if necessary!

Most of the Deluxe Resorts can accommodate 5 guests in one room as well as my favorite moderate, Port Orleans Riverside, which features guest rooms equipped with two queen beds and a trundle perfect for a child.

This way, you'll have secured a room that is perfect for 4 with extra room for a fifth guest if needed, in case there are any issues with Family Suite availability later! That said, I would definitely go ahead and lock in a reservation now as opposed to later!

    Best Wishes,
