    We are visiting Disney World under the gift card promotion in which we receive a gift card upon checkin. Can a meal plan be purchased at that time using the credits from the gift card?

    Hi, Tessa!  If you want to add the Disney Dining Plan, you need to do so at least 3 days prior to arrival.  You cannot add it on at check-in, so you will not be able to use the promotional Gift Card to pay for the Dining Plan.

    You can either just use the Gift Card to pay for your meals, OR purchase the Dining Plan prior to your arrival then use your Gift Card for gratuities, souvenirs, and any other park/resort expenses.   You will need to figure out what will work best for your travel budget.  If you decide to add on the Disney Dining Plan, call (407)W-DISNEY and have your resort confirmation number handy.
