Hi Diana,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and… oh MAN, do I ever feel your pain… While I absolutely adore attractions with big drops like
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, getting spun is a surefire way to get me to turn various shades of green! Unfortunately, my little guy isn’t a fan of drops but he loves spinning rides like the
Mad Tea Party. Because he’s too young to ride alone (he just turned 4), I have to accompany him when he experiences an attraction at Walt Disney World Resort. The things we do for our kids!!
Because your son is 8 years old, he should be able to experience most attractions on his own, without the need for an adult to accompany him (Guests 7 years of age and under are the ones who must always be accompanied). I also saw that my friend Diana gave you some
great tips about how to wait for him while he’s experiencing an attraction alone.
While there are no restrictions with respect to which attractions will/won’t allow for single riders, please note that he will likely need to sit next to another Guest or group of Guests in order to experience the attraction, especially during busier times of year. I can’t think of any other restrictions for single riders, but ask the Cast Members located at the entrance to attractions that you’ll be visiting for more information.
Enjoy planning your family's visit to Walt Disney World Resort this July! Please don't hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
