We will be visiting Disney World for our first time in September. We have a 4 and 6 year old. Wondering if we need to make reservations for our sit down meals for each day or is it better to be flexible and see where we end up?

    Hi Jessica!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

I would recommend making advance dining reservations for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort in September.  With the popularity of the Disney Dining Plan, among other things, many of the Table Service restaurants become fully booked well in advance.  It could be argued that this takes away all spontaneity, but I feel it is better to have several dining reservations in place before you arrive.  I make all our dining reservations as soon as they become available, 180 days ahead of time.  Once we are there, our plans always change a little, and as long as we cancel our reservations at least 24 hours beforehand, there is no cancellation charge.

All dining reservations can be made online, or by calling (407) 939 3463 up to 180 days in advance.

If you have any other questions about where to dine, please send me a direct question with more details about the type of dining your children would enjoy, and I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
