We will be visiting Disney world for the first time & have the Deluxe meal plan. I know that for any character dining reservations are recommended, but do i also need to make reservations for all table dining?

    Hi Kevin!

It is very important to make all of your Table Service restaurants reservations as soon as possible.  I know it sounds crazy to make reservations up to 180 days in advance, but it is important especially for the more popular restaurants.  Some restaurants actually book up close to the 180 day mark.

Making reservations is especially important when on the Deluxe Dining Plan.  No tables are set aside for walk up guests.  That's why it is very important to make an advanced dining reservation.  However, there are a lot of "no shows" especially if the weather is bad.  Thus I do recommend stopping by a restaurant and checking if interested in a place you couldn't get a reservation for.

Be sure to consider restaurants in the resort hotels.  With the exception of a few restaurants, such as Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort, I think it is much easier to get a reservation at a resort hotel than in a theme park.

Also, the restaurants at Disney's Boardwalk and the nearby hotels are all within walking distance of the International Gateway entrance of Epcot.  That makes it easy to get to them if you can't get a reservation at a Table Service restaurant in Epcot.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
