We are visiting Disney World for the first time in April 2012. My husband, myself, our 7 year old twin boys, and my mom. We are staying at a resort approx 6 miles from Disney. We are going for 7 days. We want to surpise the boys with the trip. Any ideas?

    Hi Jeanne!

Thanks for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

I've heard of two really good ideas that might be appropriate for your boys.  One is a scavenger hunt where the clues are based on classic Disney animated films.  They hunt for clues to break a "code" that basically says "Congratulations - You are going to Walt Disney World".  The other idea is to tie a sign to a helium filled balloon (or balloons) and then put the balloon in a box.  Then wrap the box.  When the boys unwrap the box, the balloon will pop out and the sign will be displayed.  It will definitely get their attention, especially if you use Disney themed balloons.

By the way, since this is your first time visiting, I highly recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first timers as it is full of information and tips, but is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

I hope this helps!  Write back with more questions!
