We will be visiting Disney World in February. We have a 14-year-old daughter who is very interested in animation. Are there any exhibits that show Disney animation through the years? Or animation activities that we could check out while we're there?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary! It's great to hear that your daughter is so interested in animation. In the words of Walt Disney himself, "If you can dream it, you can do it" so I've got a few places in mind for your daughter to live out her animation dreams.

Exploring Disney's Art of Animation Resort is an art-lover's dream come true because from the moment you arrive, you're completely surrounded by the artwork from beloved Disney films. Larger than life sketches show you how your favorite characters come to life from conception to completion. Drawing classes are also offered daily at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, where you can learn to draw some of your Disney favorites! These classes are complimentary to Disney Resort Hotel guests and run periodically throughout the day between 9 a.m and 4 p.m., but since scheduling can change at any time, be sure to check with the Resort Hotel before you go.

You can also learn about Walt Disney's life and his contribution to animation at Walt Disney Presents in the Animation Courtyard area of Disney's Hollywood Studios. There are sketches, storyboards, and even a look at Walt's first cartoon studio, so there's lots there to spark your daughter's imagination. This is also where you can watch Walt Disney: One Man's Dream, a short film that brings a tear to my eye every single time I see it.

    Happy sketching, Mary!
