We are visiting Disney World in February 2014. What is the best resort for young boys (3 & 5)? Thanks

    Hi Laura,

Choosing your resort hotel can be a fun and exciting part of the planning process. Walt Disney World has so many options to choose from, but the choice can sometimes be overwhelming since there are so many to decide between. Since I am not sure what your budget is, I'll suggest one from each price category that I think your young boys will love.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a deluxe resort  and is one of my son's favorites. We stayed there during his first trip to Walt Disney World when he was almost 4 years old. We had a savanna view room (which I highly recommend if this is your choice) and being able to watch the animals right outside your room is an experience like no other. There are also lots of fun activities offered at this resort such as campfires with storytelling and s'mores and even watching movies under the stars at the pool each night.

In the moderate price level, I would highly suggest Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and reserving one of their Pirate Rooms. These are themed differently from other rooms on property. The beds are shaped like pirate ships and the room is full of amazing details. There are numerous places to enjoy the water such as the pool and man-made beach.

Last, but certainly not least, is Disney's Art of Animation. This is the newest resort at Walt Disney World and is a great option for spacious rooms for a great value. The family suites in the Cars section would be perfect for your little tykes if they are anything like my 3 year old, who is a huge Lightning McQueen and Mater fan. These rooms offer a small kitchenette in addition to the other wonderful amenities. I can't forget to mention the absolutely amazing Big Blue Pool. It is the largest pool on property with zero entry pool, splash area, and the latest technology where you can hear the music underwater!

I hope this helps in your decision making. Have a magical time creating memories to last a lifetime.
