We are visiting Disney World Feb 27 - March 4, 2011. We plan on brining a light weight stroller that folds up for our 4 year old, will we be able to get it on/off bus easily?

Hi, Donna from my beautiful home state of Alabama! Yes, bringing a lightweight stroller is a great idea for your four-year-old, and you'll be able to get it on and off Disney transportation (buses, trams, monorail and boats) quickly and easily.

There are a few stroller features that I always recommend for friends and family:

    • Folding canopy -- The sun (even in late February and early March) can get intense, and if your child takes a cat nap during the day, this will come in handy.
    • A sturdy footrest -- When children get older, the weight  and length of their legs sometimes can hamper the wheels if they push down on a flimsy foot rest. It took us forever to realize the reason it was so difficult to push our "big" kids in strollers until we figured this out.
    • A nice-sized basket -- Even when they get older, a family can accumulate "stuff" at the parks. It's nice to have a compartment in which to stow cups, souvenirs, snacks, or a hand towel.

I hope this helps you plan! Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
