Hello- I will be visiting Disney World with my extended family in May, we have a large party and have made dining reservations- do all party members have to show up for each reservation to avoid the 10.00 Per Person fee?

    Hi there, Rachel!

Thanks for posting your question about dining with large groups to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort in May sounds like it's going to be incredible fun.

I travel frequently with groups of 15-20 and, in my experience, it was not a problem if a member or two of the group for which we had advance dining reservations could not join us. Although he certainly had the right to do so, the Cast Member who checked us in for our dining reservation did not charge us the $10 no-show fee for the person who was too tired to join us. He just acknowledged the adjustment to our party size at the podium and found us a table of an appropriate size. Cast Members have also gone out of their way to accommodate us if we had one more person than we anticipated for dinner. Although there are no guarantees that they can adjust the number associated with an advance dining reservation, I have found that the Cast Members go out of their way to accommodate a party that has changed a bit in size.

I hope your extended family enjoys many magical meals together in May!

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
