Hi Rebecca,
My family and I visit Walt Disney World often around Easter. Spring is such a lovely time at Walt Disney World. The weather is getting nice, but is not yet too hot, and the theme parks are in full bloom. Disney's BoardWalk Villas is my home resort for Disney Vacation Club. I love the hustle and bustle of Disney's BoardWalk!
Although Disney has not yet officially announced any activities for Easter in 2014, we can look back to what was done in 2013 for an idea. From 2013, the Disney Parks Blog has entries on
celebrating Easter at Disney Parks, as well as a post more specific to
celebrating Easter at Walt Disney World. I recommend monitoring the Disney Parks Blog for more information on Easter celebrations in 2014 as the date gets closer.
For 2013, Mr. and Mrs. Bunny greeted guests at Magic Kingdom, and also made appearances at Epcot. You can check the Times Guide that you receive at the theme parks for more information on specific times for these. Also, Epcot hosted some very popular activities in the United Kingdom pavilion. These included Easter Egg hunts for guests ages 3 to 9, and Easter Egg Relays for children ages 8 to 12. If I remember correctly, these activities were very popular, and you were able to sign up on the day of the activity. Therefore, if these are offered again, I highly recommend heading to the sign up point first thing that day to ensure that your children get a chance to take part in the activities.
I would love to help you plan your Easter vacation to Walt Disney World more, Rebecca; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
