    Hello I will be visiting Disney World in early to mid june, what should I expect the weather to be like? Will there be a lot of rain? And also how are the crowds during that time? Thank you!

    Kicking off your summer vacation with a trip to Walt Disney World sounds great!

    June can get quite busy as kids begin their summer breaks.  The earlier in the month you can get there, the better!  You are into the heat of summer, so expect temperatures to reach the high 80's and even into the 90's on some days.  With the heat unfortunately comes the rain!  My family always calls it the "3:00 rain" as it rains quickly in the afternoon then it is gone.  Sometimes the rain comes and goes so fast that you will have missed it entirely if you are on an attraction or inside eating. Plan ahead with rain ponchos, umbrellas, and for when that sun comes back out, have hats, sunglasses, and plenty of sunscreen.

    The really good part about all this is that due to the crowds, the parks are open late. With Extra Magic Hours the Magic Kingdom is sometimes open way past midnight, and parks will open early.  You will want to take advantage of the early mornings when the parks are not very crowded and the temperatures are comfortable.   Plan to head back to your resort for a mid-day break and a swim, then return to the parks later in the evening when it is not so hot.  When my family visits in the summer, we usually are heading back to our resort by noon or 1:00 p.m. and return around dinner, or even after dinner if the parks are open super late.

    Enjoy your June vacation!  Remember to stay hydrated (free cups of ice water at counter service locations in the parks!), take breaks, and have a magical time in Walt Disney World!
