We are visiting Disney World in early May. We are staying at a DVC resort and will enjoy free parking with that. Are we able to upgrade to Preferred Parking at the Parks by paying the difference between the regular parking and the preferred parking?

Hey there, Corrine! Welcome back to planDisney, friend! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question.

Eeeeek! Before you know it, you will be arriving at your fabulous Disney Vacation Club Resort, ready to begin your next magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth! I am SO excited for you! A perfectly themed DVC Resort with fantastic dining options, endless Resort activities, fabulous amenities, close proximity to the theme parks, and all the comforts of home is the perfect home away from home right in the middle of the magic. One of my favorite benefits of staying in a DVC Resort and being a DVC Member is complimentary Resort overnight self-parking and theme park parking, so, I am thrilled to answer your question today.

I think you will be happy to hear that if you are staying in a DVC Resort or any Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can upgrade to preferred theme park parking and only pay the difference. Although the prices are seasonal and always subject to change, right now, the price difference is $20-25 per day. This price includes your all-day parking pass, close to the park entrances, for all four theme parks. BEST. DAY. EVER!

While you are enjoying your magical springtime vacation, make sure you don't miss the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! EPCOT has never looked more beautiful with this festival's gorgeous gardens and topiaries. There is SO much to do, see and taste at this festival, I'd recommend visiting more than once! I love purchasing the Spike's Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt at the beginning of my first visit to the fest and taking my time completing it as I explore every pavilion of the World Showcase. This is so much fun and NOT just for kids! Plus, you get an adorable prize at the end! A prize for having fun?! Yes, please!

Corrine, did you hear that the very first episode of the planDisney Podcast dropped?! In this episode, my planDisney pals and I discuss all things Spring Break in the Disney Parks from Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! I will link it below so that you can watch or listen for all your Spring Break tips and tricks for your upcoming visit. I hope you find it super helpful!

Corrine, I am wishing you the most magical and memorable upcoming adventure! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions!

I hope to see ya real soon,
