We will be visiting Disney World in early May in celebration of my son's 10th birthday, although his actual birthday isn't until 5/29. Will we still be able to get a birthday button for him during our stay? Thanks!

    Hi Kerry!

Congratulations to your son for hitting the double digits!  I adore celebrating birthdays and life events with my family at Walt Disney World too.  In fact, I once celebrated my "Un-Birthday" with the Mad Hatter.

The answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY you may celebrate your son's birthday with a special birthday button even if you aren't vacationing on the actual date of his birth.  If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, have your son's birthday noted on your reservation so that a birthday button will be ready for you at check in.  Otherwise, go to Guest Services in any theme park and request a birthday button for your son.

Another fun and simple birthday celebration idea is to note your son's birthday on any table service dining reservations that you make.  You can never receive too many "Happy Birthday" greetings.  To learn more ways to celebrate birthdays at Walt Disney World, have a look at the previous questions and answers here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  You can either select the "Celebrations" category in the Navigator Pane or do a search at the top of the page with some keywords like "birthday celebration".

I hope this information helps you in planning your upcoming celebration vacation.  If you have any more questions, please come back and ask them here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help!

    Blessings,
