I will be visiting Disney World early Aug this year with my daughter (29) who has learning difficulties. It will be her first visit to DW and also on her birthday. Other than the birthday pin what other suprised could be arranged for her special day?

    Hi Kevan:

Disney World is all about making memories and is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday.  I would consider contacting the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts online here or at (407) WDW-GIFT or (407) 939-4438 to help pick out the perfect birthday gift. They can help create a personalized in-room celebration featuring your daughters' favorite Disney characters. They can also deliver personalized gift baskets to your Disney resort or a Disney restaurant where you may be enjoying a celebratory meal.

Speaking of meals, make sure you plan a special meal.  Character meals like Cinderella's Royal Table or Chef Mickey's are always fun, but if your daughter does not want to dine with characters, she may want to dine in her favorite country at a restaurant in Epcot's World Showcase.  When dining, let the hostess and your server know that you are celebrating a special birthday. There is no guarantee anything out of the Disney-ordinary happens, but you never know.

Perhaps buying your daughter a balloon or bag of popcorn on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom will be a perfect ending to a special day.

    Enjoy your vacation.
