I am visiting Disney world during the princess marathon in February staying at Pop. I have a CRT reservation at MK the morning of February 28th, the 10k day. What would be the best way and time to get to Magic Kingdom to make my 9 am reservation? Thank you

Hi, there, Hannah!  Welcome back to planDisney!  Having visited Walt Disney World many times during Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, both as a race participant and as a regular guest, I can confidently say you have picked a great time to visit.

I cannot think of a more fitting restaurant for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend than Cinderella's Royal Table. This can be a challenging reservation to snag, so allow me to congratulate you on a job well done!  My favorite breakfast entree there is the Grilled Steak and Egg. I know in the past, my pal Adrianna has helped you with your food allergy question about Disney Cruise Line, so I checked and found that my recommendation is also on the allergy-friendly menu. That being said, please discuss your needs with your server prior to ordering just to be safe.

Hannah, I'm not sure if you are registered for the 10k or not, so let's explore your transportation options for both scenarios.  If you are planning to go directly to Magic Kingdom from the finish line, just follow the signs to event transportation back to Disney Resorts Collection Hotels.  I'd pick one going to a hotel along the Walt Disney World Monorail System, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Then, transfer to the Monorail to Magic Kingdom.  Alternately, you can walk to the Monorail from the 10k finish line at EPCOT, which takes you to Disney's Transportation & Ticket Center.  You'll then transfer to the Monorail to Magic Kingdom.  The nice thing is, you'll have already cleared security before boarding the Monorail in both of these options, which puts you in excellent position for entering Magic Kingdom for your dining reservation.

If you are planning on heading to Magic Kingdom from Disney's Pop Century Resort, you'll simply look for the signs for Magic Kingdom bus transportation and board the next one available.  In either case, I always recommend allowing an hour to an hour and a half in travel time to your dining reservation.  The good news is the 10k should be wrapping up prior to your reservation, and your travel time shouldn't be impacted.  If you happen to get there a little early, take some time to soak in the ambiance as you walk down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. since you are eligible for early park entry at 8:30 AM.

Hannah, I hope you feel like royalty as you dine at Cinderella's Royal Table.  If you have any other questions, please run back to planDisney.

    Have a magical trip!
