I am visiting Disney World in December and can only go to one of the two waterparks. Which is better Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Hi Steve.    Braving the cold and going to one of the water parks in December -- good for you!   I believe the choice comes down to type of activities you are looking for.   My experience has been that if you are traveling with younger children (younger than 5) or older folks, Typhoon Lagoon is they way to go.  This water park has a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere, with a great wave pool and lazy river.

However, if you are traveling with slightly older children or teenagers and love lots of trilling slides and water activities, Blizzard Beach is the recommendation.   My children are now eight and six and really love the action that Blizzard Beach offers.   We just returned from a week's vacation this pas weekend and also had only one day to spend at a water park.   Without hesitation, they chose Blizzard Beach.  This differs from just a few years back where Typhoon Lagoon was more their speed.

Either way, you can't go wrong.  They are both fun parks with lots to do.  Enjoy your vacation.
