We will be visiting Disney World for 7 days in July. I understand how hot it can get during the summer months and the need to stay hydrated. We plan on carrying our own water bottles around the parks, do the parks have fountains where we can refill them?

We returned recently from a June WDW vacation. You will need to stay hydrated!

Yes the parks all have fountains scattered throughout the premises. Most of them are located outside the restrooms. I couple of times I took a drink from the water fountains and found the water to be distasteful. There is no way that I could have drank a whole bottle of it. But I know that folks around the country are used to different water and maybe you'll find it more thirst-quenching.

Also note that you can ask any counter service restaurant for a free cup of ice.

My family loves water especially in hot and humid weather. My son was okay with the drinking fountain water. So, again, your experience may be better than mine!

    More tips:
    Cut through air-conditioned gift shops.
Bring an air-mister fan. They are fabulous!
Take a mid-afternoon break to relax pool-side. The parks are open late and the evenings are beautiful.
If you've been outside for a while, relax inside a counter service restaurant or take in a show such as Carousel of Progress. It'll help rejuvenate everyone!
