Welcome to planDisney, Riahn!
Having a holiday at The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year sounds supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! With festive fireworks, holiday parades, and spectacular Christmas trees, there’s something there that wasn’t there before. One of my favorite things to experience is the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. I was able to enjoy this festival last Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed walking around World Showcase and learning about the various Christmas traditions around the globe (as well as tasting some delicious food along the way!). Make sure you make time to watch the
Candlelight Processional too!
Ever since the pandemic, Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort require both a
theme park ticket and a
reservation in order to enter a theme park. Riahn, you'll be glad to know that once you make your park reservation, you don't have to worry about being turned away at the entrance. So feel free to enjoy a relaxing morning at the hotel (maybe even check out some of the Christmas decorations at some of the Disney Resorts!) before heading to the park at your convenience.
One more thing: have you considered getting a ticket for
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I attended this event last year and it was seriously the most magical experience. The crowds were lower and so I was able to experience lots of attractions with minimal wait times. I was in awe of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. And possibly my favorite part was watching Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. There was even "snow" on Main Street, U.S.A.! Since you are used to staying late at the theme parks, I highly recommend it.
Have a great time, Riahn! See ya real soon.
Mike
