We are visiting Disney World Christmas 2012. 12/22-12/28/12. Should we attend the Mickey's very merry christmas party? How soon can we buy tickets? Where is the best place to have Christmas dinner?

    Hi Tammy,

Happy holidays and congratulations on your upcoming trip to WDW!

This year, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ends on December 18, 2011 so I would anticipated that the party will not be held on the evenings of your visit next year.

For Christmas dinner, I would first decide what type of meal that you envision. Do you want something upbeat and fun, then head to Whispering Canyon Cafe at the beautiful Wilderness Lodge. If you'd like to enjoy the beauty of the lodge at a finer restaurant, Artist Point would be a great choice!

Will you be touring a park that day? Then plan your meal to be near where you'll be touring. If  you'll be in the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Royal Table is a festive place to dine. Liberty Tree Tavern is also a top pick by guests visiting on Christmas Day.

To dine with Mickey, head to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort.

I would first decide your itinerary. Then figure out if you'd like a traditional meal or something completely different such as 50's Prime Time Cafe at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The top picks by many guests include Liberty Tree Tavern, Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickey's, and Artist Point.

Once you figure out where you will be on Christmas Day, drop back and we'll help you narrow your choices.

    Happy planning!
