Hi! I will be visiting Disney World with my boyfriend and now, another couple decided to join us. They will not be staying on the Disney Resort, however. Will we all be able to book FastPasses and take advantage of extra magic hours together?

Hi, Tia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is always magical, but it becomes a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day when you add friends to the mix! I travel to the resort with my family often, but I do have to say some of my favorite Disney memories have been made when I have gone with my friends and fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists.

Tia, guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel are welcome to begin making their FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of their Resort hotel check-in date. Guests who are staying off-site can make their selections 30 days in advance of any day they plan to visit one of the theme parks. Following those guidelines, you and your boyfriend will be able to make your selections on that magical day. However, in my experience, I have been able to include friends staying off-site in our FastPass+ plans as long as I included them in the initial FastPass+ party. So, you should have no problems making FastPass+ selections for your friends when you make yours.

I do have a bit of not-quite-so-magical news for the other part of your question. Only Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can enter the theme park hosting the day's morning Extra Magic Hour. There will be Cast Members scanning MagicBands as you enter to check for this. During evening Extra Magic Hours, MagicBands are scanned at the entrance to attractions and guests not staying at Resort hotels are usually directed to the exit. You and your boyfriend will be able to board your favorite attractions during this time, but your friends will need to meet up with you later.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventure together!
