We are visiting Disney world in August but I wanted to know if any of the star wars events will continue into the summer particularly the Jedi Mickey Character dining experience as my young sons would love it

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Victoria!

Jedi Mickey's STAR WARS Dine at Hollywood & Vine is one dinner that my son still talks about, nearly a year later. Unfortunately, this special dining experience is only offered from May 4 to June 14, 2015. At this time, there are no plans to extend this experience through the summer.

There are several STAR WARS activities at Disney's Hollywood Studios that you can plan to do during August vacation.  Plan to sign-up your sons for Jedi Training Academy. Wearing a Jedi robe, participants learn to use the Force to battle the Dark Side. Sign up early in the day because this Academy fills up quickly!  Then hop aboard a Starspeeder 1000 for a galactic adventure at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. Don't forget to build time in your schedule for your sons to build a lightsaber and do a little shopping at Tatooine Traders. My son always requests time to shop for more STAR WARS gear!

I am sure that you will find several STAR WARS activities that your sons will enjoy. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates and information about future park experiences. You never know if Darth Vader will use his power to extend the dates or add other experiences.  Let me know if you have another question.  I'm happy to help.

May the Force be with you!
