    I am visiting Disney World in August of 2011, and staying at All Star Sports. Are there any exciting events happening at the last week of August? Also do they still give out pins when you arrive to trade?

    Hey Michael,



    Late August is an awesome time to see Walt Disney World. While the crowds will be low to moderate, there aren't many activities going on this time of year. WDW is just recovering from the busy summer season and beginning to gear up for the holidays. You will be visiting in between these special times of the year. With that said, focus on enjoying the traditional WDW activities and enjoy the short wait times for rides and attractions. 



    All Star Sports is a great place to see larger than imaginable sports symbols. There are various children's activities that are posted each day. Be sure to ask your Cast Member at Check-In for the schedule of events.



    I believe it has been a while since pins were given  away for trading. Just about each and every shopping experience has pins to purchase for trading. There are also several exclusive pin trading stores around the resort.
