    We'll be visiting Disney World this April with DD (5) and DS (11 months). Can you suggest good spots for him to get out of the stroller and crawl? I especially need ideas in the Magic Kindgom since Toon Town is being refurbished.

    Hi, Bethany!  Boy howdy, I've been there. Our youngest boy has been crazy active since even before he was born. A parenting / joy of childbirth board would be a more appropriate place to share this story.

    The first time our youngest guy was at Disney World, we would hawk for crawl-able areas. At first blush, it may appear that all the real estate is taken up for thoroughfares and attractions. But if you do a little digging, you're in luck. There are a couple attractions where he could motor in front of you on the floor or off to the side (depending on his speed) at Magic Kingdom. Carousel of Progress, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Hall of Presidents come to mind. Some attraction exit areas are good too (and you might be waiting in some of these areas prior to doing a rider swap with your husband as he and your daughter exit the attraction.) The Space Mountain gift shop and next door arcade have a lot of crawling real estate. On the other side of the park is the Laughing Place play area near Splash Mountain.

    I'd also recommend bringing a blanket with you that folds up well well in your stroller. Then, kill two birds with one stone: scout out a good parade viewing area. Sprawl out the blanket and let your little guy crawl around. He'll be in heaven and you'll have secured a good spot for the parade. Score.

    Epcot has lots of space for crawling and the most grassy areas to do so. At Animal Kingdom, the Boneyard has a nice, soft, gummy surface. Just stay right next to him because there will be some bigger kids running around. Hollywood Studios? Let him crawl through One Man's Dream as you take every square inch of it in. Win.
