Hi there, Charlotte! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so sorry to hear you're not 100%, but I am glad you've decided to make your way to the Walt Disney World Resort anyway. I bet a touch of Disney magic will make you feel a whole lot better!
Okay, I'm going to cheat a little bit here and link you to
a practically perfect answer on this very subject from one of my best planDisney pals, Brandy B. She considered using a knee walker or scooter after breaking her ankle, and although she ultimately decided to go with an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), she does have some helpful tips for using the device in the parks. For instance, you can take your knee walker along with you in many of the attraction queues and leave it in the boarding area while you ride. Personally, I've seen quite a few Guests wheeling around on the knee scooters in the theme parks, and they always seem to be getting around without any issues.
If you find yourself getting fatigued after using your knee walker for a while, you can stop into a quick service dining location to take a load off for a while. Plus, make note of the
First Aid Centers located in each theme park. They're there for you if you need any assistance whatsoever.
I hope this helps you navigate the parks easily and safely, Charlotte. Have a magical time, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
