We will be visiting a Disney Water park for the first time at the end of June. Which water park would you recommend? My children are 8, 6, and 5 and none like huge water slides...we are more of a swimming/lazy river kind of family. Thoughts?

    Hi Laura!

The Walt Disney World Resort has two absolutely fantastic water parks.  They are Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach.   Both water parks have a lazy river and large wave pool.  However, I would suggest Blizzard Beach for your family.  If any of your children are 48" or shorter, the Tike's Peak area is perfect, and there is also a fabulous pre-teen area called Ski Patrol Training Camp.  There are tame slides, a floating iceberg walk and more.  Although both parks have a family raft ride, the one at Blizzard Beach offers a much longer one, and it's tons of fun.  It's actually my favorite thing to do at either of the water parks.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, don't rule out spending a day at your resort pool.  The theming at the resort pools is unsurpassed, and kids often ask to spend the day there in place of a visit to a theme park!

Feel free to come back here with any other questions you might have.

Until then, I wish you a MAGICAL vacation!
