We are visiting Disney over Thanksgiving and wanted to know which park would be best to visit on Thanksgiving day (less crowded or better able to handle crowds), Hollywood Studios or Magic Kingdom? Thank you!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lorie! The holidays are certainly a Merry time to make your way to Walt Disney World Resort. I’m sure you’ll find yourself among lots of spirited folks!

When I’m planning a vacation, the first thing I do is consult the Undercover Tourist Crowd Calendar (you can google that and it will come right up). This at-a-glance calendar gives you estimated crowd levels on a scale of 1-10 for each day of your vacation, and even recommends which parks you should visit. This is exactly the tool you’re looking for to help you choose which park to attend during your Thanksgiving getaway. Magic Kingdom is currently slated to be the less crowded pick, but please keep in mind volumes can grow over the course of the day. Dining Reservations and FastPass+ reservations are going to be key to keep your family having fun.

Be sure to check out all the Christmas decorations throughout the Resorts and Parks in November. The beautiful Resort Hotel Lobby trees are a sight to behold. My kids love finding the snow on Main Street U.S.A. at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It’s so magical, you’ll love spending the season there. I look forward to helping you plan your upcoming vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! ~ Lindsey P.
