We are visiting Disney starting on Dec 7th 2014 and I was wondering what is the My magic + and magic bands? Is this something like the fast passes or something different? Also I am reading information on magic cards and magic bands, what is the difference?

    Hi Stacy,

The Walt Disney World in December is magical! I have been to Walt Disney World numerous times in December and it is always fun!

Disney has added a lot of magic to the world. Magic bands and Magic cards provide the same access by holding your tickets, room keys, charging privileges if you choose, FastPass+ and other options. Disney is giving guests the option of choosing a band to wear or a hard plastic card to carry around with them in the park.

My Magic + is really the system that connects it all. This allows you to connect all the parties traveling with you in one place. You can connect your FastPass+ and dining reservations in one place. Plus all of the information can be accessed and changed on the go using a tablet or smartphone. Gone are the days of writing dining reservations on cards to hand out to your companions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
