Hi! We are visiting Disney soon for our one year anniversary/honeymoon and I recently found out I’m pregnant I am looking for cute ways to announce to my husband that I am pregnant. Any ideas?

Oh, WOW, Samantha! You have accomplished a LOT in a yEAR! A wedding, a baby, and a visit to the Most Magical Place on EARth is quite the feat! I love that you are going to surprise your husband with the baby news at Walt Disney World Resort, I can’t think of a better place to spring some extra pixie dust in his life.

If you can’t keep your secret for very long, I suggest a stop at Guest Relations as soon as you arrive in the Park. Distract him by asking for water, or popcorn or whatever(!), and slip into Guest Relations on your own. Ask them to make two Celebration Buttons for you - they could say I’m celebrating “baby,” or I’m celebrating “future mommy and daddy.” Join him in front of a Disney PhotoPass photographer, and hand him his button as the photographer snaps away. The captured surprise will be priceless!

Since you’re at the ‘World, I would get a favorite Disney Pal involved in the delivery. Pick his ideal Character Experience and grab a FastPass+. Bring a copy of the ultrasound picture with you. When you arrive at the attraction, slip the image to a Cast Member, and explain what you want to do. They can then subtlety give the ultrasound to the Character. Imagine your husband’s delight when Mickey hands him a picture of his baby!

Another fun reveal might be at one of the many dining locations on property. You can order a custom cake at least 72 hours in advance of your dining reservation. Call (407) 827-2253 to request a cake that says, “We’re having a baby!” on top. If you already know the gender, you can ask the chefs to dye the cake pink or blue for another surprise when he cuts into it!

Regardless of how you choose to share the baby news, take advantage of the fantastic Disney PhotoPass photographers. I love the idea of you two holding pink and blue Mickey EAR balloons in front of Cinderella Castle. In a few yEARs, your baby will enjoy looking at their “first” pictures with mom and dad at the Most Magical Place on EARth.

chEARs to the continuation of your Happily Ever After!
