I am visiting the Disney parks in Orlando but will not be staying at a Disney hotel, can I still make dining reservations for the restaurants at Disney hotels/resorts?

    Hello Brook,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Where you are staying doesn't matter, you're going to Walt Disney World! You must be so excited.

There are tons of great dining options to choose from in Disney Resort Hotels and in Disney Springs Marketplace, and you don't have to have a hotel reservation or park ticket to enjoy them. You can simply make reservations 60 days in advance. I recommend doing it early in the morning, around 5:45 AM Eastern Standard Time.  I believe reservations for the day start becoming available at 6 AM, but it's good to be ready a little early.

Where are you thinking of dining? For special occasions I love California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The food is amazing and the view is spectacular, and even if your reservation isn't during the time for Disney Enchantment, you can go back up to the terrace and enjoy a gorgeous view of the fireworks over Cinderella Castle. Jiko in Animal Kingdom Lodge is another favorite, and if you've never been to that resort, it's amazing! Story Book Dining with Snow White at Artist Point in Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a new favorite where you are able to meet some characters from the beloved classic movie, and it's just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom.

Hope this helps. Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
