Hi there! I am visiting Disney Parks on February. I have trombofilia and it develops mainly on my leg. I want to know more about the DAS options. Thanks!

    Hi Brenda!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing us your question about the Disability Access Services available at Walt Disney World. As a family who has utilized the Disability Access Services for our trips to Walt Disney World, I am happy to help you navigate this process.

The Disability Access Services program is one created to aid guests to navigate the Walt Disney World theme parks. The DAS, as it is commonly known, is intended for guests who have difficulty tolerating normal queues due to various reasons. Guests who require the use of a wheelchair or ambulatory device such as a scooter do not need a DAS.  The standard queues are geared to accommodate guests who require these devices and, depending on the experience, guests can receive a return request time from the Cast Member at the attraction. If your disability can be accommodated by a wheelchair, then it is not necessary to register for DAS.  If it cannot, and you feel that DAS will help you enjoy your theme park experience, I recommend you speak with a DAS Cast Member.  You can register for DAS, 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date of your Walt Disney World vacation. They will engage in a live video chat and explain the DAS system and determine your eligibility. You can connect with DAS Cast Members by following the link for Disability Access Services Registration.

Brenda, did you know you can ask us questions in Spanish? Several Spanish panelists are waiting to answer your questions and help you plan your trip. Visit us at planDisney en Español!

Disability Access Service Planning Tip: Ensure that the guests who will be traveling with you are linked to your Friends and Family on the My Disney Experience. You will be able to add them to your DAS reservations so that you may experience the attractions as a group.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
