Hello. We are going to be visiting disney in november. We are going to be staying at a wdw resort and going to be joined by friends of ours who are staying off property. If we all get the genie +, will I be able to get LL for all of us at 7am?

Hey Howdy Hey Charlotte and welcome to planDisney fellow Buckeye!

It sounds like your vacation later this year to the Walt Disney World Resort is going to be an exciting one. Not only are you going to be in the Most Magical Place on Earth, but enjoying with friends will be extra special! Thank you for stopping by with your question about Lightning Lanes. I will be happy to give you more information on the details.

As far as Lightning Lane selections go, as long as everyone has linked My Disney Experience accounts for the day of your trip to the parks together and everyone has purchased Genie+, you are correct that you can make the Lightning Lane selections for your whole party. Lightning Lanes and Genie+ are not specific to Guests staying onsite or off-property. The only restrictions for Guests staying off-property are access to Individual Lightning Lanes. Guests not staying at a Disney Resorts Collection or other qualifying hotel will not have access to Individual Lightning Lane purchases until the parks officially open for the day to the general public.

On the morning of your day in the park, one person should be able to make Lightning Lane selections for the group starting at 7 AM. I would recommend getting on your My Disney Experience app a little earlier as you can set up your party selecting as many or as few members as needed. Once 7 AM hits, you are free to make your first Lightning Lane selection. You can make your next selection either 2 hours after the parks open to the public or after you redeem your first Lightning Lane.

There are many ways to book your Lightning Lane experiences, but if you all are morning people and plan to get to the parks earlier, I would recommend stacking your Lightning Lanes. If you get to the parks early, you will be able to experience several attractions before the big crowds roll in, typically around mid to late morning. If you stack your Lightning Lanes for the mid-morning or early afternoon, when the parks are at their busiest, you will be cruising through the Lightning Lanes with less time in lines and more time enjoying the parks. Just one of the many strategies you can book your Lightning Lanes!

I hope this information was helpful so you can better strategize how you want to book your Lightning Lanes for your upcoming vacation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop back and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
