We are visiting Disney in May for two weeks and we have the Disney Dining Plan. We love Frontera Cuccina and we were wondering if we can pick anything off the menu or if there are any restrictions on what we can have. Thank you so much.

Hola Davina and welcome back to planDisney! I visited Frontera Cocina with my fellow panelist Olivier during the recent runDisney Marathon Weekend and we had the most amazing meal. The fresh guacamole, the savory Carnitas, and refreshing Topolo margarita had me feeling un poco loco! Now let’s taco ‘bout your question!

I recently contacted Frontera Cocina and they confirmed that currently you can order almost all of the entrées from the menu when using the Disney Dining Plan, with the exception of the Carne Asada, Irodori American Wagyu, and the Chocolate Sugar Skull dessert. As a reminder, when using a Disney Dining Plan table-service credit for brunch, lunch, or dinner, you are entitled to 1 entrée, 1 dessert, and 1 nonalcoholic beverage (or an alcoholic beverage if you’re over 21).

But don’t fret! If there’s anything else you want off the menu, you can always order it à la carte and pay for it separately. During our visit, Olivier and I ordered a side of chips with guacamole and we handily finished a bowl of chips, which our waiter quickly refilled so we could finish our guacamole. Talk about great service! Which reminds me, gratuity generally is not included when using the Disney Dining Plan, so don’t forget to acknowledge your waitstaff for the amazing service they provide.

Here’s a bonus tip! You may already know this as a Frontera Cocina aficionado, but in case you're unaware, the restaurant also hosts a Mariachi brunch on Saturdays and Sundays with live Mariachi music from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Besides the great entertainment, the restaurant also offers some unique brunch entrées and cocktails. The restaurant can get busy during this time so I highly recommend making advanced reservations to secure a table.

Davina, I hope you find this information helpful and muchas gracias for visiting planDisney! I hope that you “Remember Me” if you have any further questions about your upcoming vacation and I’ll be glad to assist.

    Your pal,

    Sean
