Hi, Julie!
Welcome, and thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I hope you’re enjoying making all your pixie-dusted vacation plans!
I’m glad to hear you plan to take advantage of
Rider Switch service, which allows Guests with children who don’t meet the minimum height requirement to take turns experiencing attractions. We have used it on so many occasions because it’s a great time-saver for families with young children! The specific procedure varies depending on the attraction (especially if
Disney FASTPASS service is offered), so it’s best to let a Cast Member at the beginning of the regular queue know that you’d like to use Rider Switch and ask what steps you should follow. Sometimes the second group will be asked to return to the attraction exit, but the re-entry point can also be the Disney FASTPASS return queue. Either way, a Cast Member will be happy to direct you to the appropriate attraction return area to board without waiting in the regular queue.
I hope this answers your question, Julie, and that your family enjoys a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back if there’s any other information you need as your vacation approaches.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
