    Hello! We are visiting Disney in May, and would love for my daughter to attend the Princess Promenade at the Grand Floridian. Although it seems they have stopped hosting this event. Is this permanent, or is it only halted during the off season?

     Maribeth, your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is just days away. How very exciting!

     The Princess Promenade at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is such a magical experience. Children ages 3 -12 are invited to process down the grand staircase and into the lobby with a Disney Princess and her Prince while the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra plays a fairytale-worthy waltz. Usually offered at 3:30 PM everyday but Tuesday, this experience is considered a "Magical Moment," meaning it's not an officially listed event. Unfortunately, it seems as though the Princess Promenade will not be taking place for the time being. A return date has not been announced, but I'm hopeful that Fairy Godmother will bibbity-bobbity-boo the event back onto the calendar soon! 

     If your little princess is a fan of royalty, she'll be happy to know there are lots of magical princess experiences to be had at the Walt Disney World Resort. I highly recommend Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea. Held at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this courtly celebration is one your daughter won't forget! With music, dancing, storytelling, and lots of scrumptious treats, attending Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea is like stepping into a fairytale. I bet your little girl would also enjoy a meal at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in World Showcase at Epcot. The food at this unique restaurant is incredible and so is the company!
