We are visiting Disney in May. We are a family ofn5 with kids ranging from 2-7. Still trying to decide where to stay. Which resort would you recommend that is a bit more upscale but also kid friendly with a great pool and dining options?

    Hi Lindsay,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We love helping guests to plan magical vacations! If you are looking for a more upscale resort, and especially are looking for a variety of dining options, check out Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort Hotels. The deluxe resort hotels are often situated so that you can easily get to other deluxe resort hotels, which opens up a wide variety of easy to access dining options. Let me suggest a couple of my favorite deluxe resort hotels to you.

Disney's Beach Club Resort is one of my favorite resorts. The quaint beach feel is so sweet. The resort is in walking distance or quick boat ride distance to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Stormalong Bay is the pool area at this resort, and it is amazing, including a sand bottom. I also really like that from Disney's Beach Club Resort, you are in walking distance of Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. This opens up a large amount of dining options in easy reach.

You also might enjoy Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. This resort is newly renovated, and has a lush, tropical theme. The Lava Pool includes a zero-depth entry and volcano. This resort is located on the monorail line, which means that you can easily access Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for additional dining options.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Lindsay! Have a great time planning your Walt Disney World vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
