Hiya, Sharon. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to chit-chat with us about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
Sharon, a long weekend at
Walt Disney World is going to be so much fun! You are going to have plenty of time to soak in all of the magic the theme parks have to offer.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is so popular this year. I think everyone is just really happy to have the holiday parties back in their entirety. It truly is a very merry thing! When a party is sold out, the chances of getting a ticket after the fact are pretty slim. Occasionally, party tickets are sold on the day of at the gate but that is typically for a party that is not sold out. If there are extra tickets for the day you'd like to visit, there won't be an announcement. You would need to go to the Guest Relations window at the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park and speak with a Cast Member. They will know if there are any extra party tickets and if there are, they would be able to sell them to you there. If this is something you are interested in doing, on the day of, I think visiting earlier in the day is going to give you the best chance of grabbing those extra tickets.
If you aren't able to get a party ticket, you can still enjoy the fireworks from a resort around Magic Kingdom Park. I really like to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's a great view of Cinderella Castle from across the lake. There are several great viewing spots there but I like to head up to the second floor of the resort and find a comfy spot at the
Tambu Lounge. They have really great snacks and sips on their menu and then a great view of the show. It's a perfect way to end a Disney day.
I hope this helps, Sharon. If you have more questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
