We will be visiting Disney in less than 2 weeks. I’m trying to purchase an all-day dining pass. When attempting to purchase, I keep getting an error message that the passes are temporarily unavailable. Is this accurate?

Hey Howdy Hey Candyce and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question on Disney Dining Plans for your upcoming trip. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into their availability.

I am sad to say that what you are experiencing online Candyce is accurate. At this time, dining plans in Walt Disney World Resort are currently unavailable which is why you are having issues when it comes to its purchase. Dining Plans were such a benefit when it came to trips to Walt Disney World for so many, but considering their absence, I can give you a few tips to help make dining a bit easier for your upcoming trip.

One of the best ways to make the most of your time is Mobile Ordering. You can do this right from your My Disney Experience app and if you know what places and about what time you would want to order food from, you can do this early in the day. Simply open up your My Disney Experience app and tap the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right and find the "Mobile Food Orders" tile. Tap on this tile and follow the prompts to select a location and approximate time for your order. You can then add items to your order and keep them there. Once you are on your way to your dining location, you can tap the "I'm Here Prepare My Order" button you should see light up around the time of your request. You will then be notified once your order is ready and save a bunch of time in line!

Having a few items in the room for snacks or a light breakfast are also great ways to help manage the costs of food during your stay. You can get things delivered from a variety of grocery delivery locations which you can pick up at Bell Services in your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or you can purchase some items from the quick service locations to have them in your room as well. This option works great for little ones or if you are hitting the parks early for Early Theme Park Entry if you did not want to spend time sitting down for a meal to get the most out of your morning!

I hope this information helped give you a few options for navigating the food situation in the absence of dining plans. Please feel free to reach back out with any questions you may have, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
