visiting disney the later part of december and first week in January, what is the best way to tour the resorts to see all the decorations? Where do you park, etc.?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julia!

One of my favorite things to do when I visit the Walt Disney World Resort during the most wonderful time of the yEAR is to visit the resorts. The decorations are simply dazzling! I especially love the life-size gingerbread displays you can enjoy. The smell alone makes me so happy! But the attention to detail is truly amazing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Julia, there are several options for you to get to the resorts if you are traveling in your own vehicle. To visit the resorts on the monorail loop, I recommend parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (or Magic Kingdom Parking) and using the monorail to visit the monorail resorts. From Magic Kingdom you can also take buses to any other resorts you might want to visit. I love the Epcot resorts, especially Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort. If you are not staying on property, to avoid paying for parking at Magic Kingdom, you can park for free at Disney Springs and use the resort buses from there to any resort you wish to visit.

If you choose to dine at any of the resort hotels you are visiting, you can enjoy complimentary parking at the resort. I highly recommend trying at least one resort restaurant during your visit. They are all fantastic!

I hope these tips help you plan your visit! If you need any additional planning tips or advice, please do come back and see us again.

    Wishing you a magical day,
