Eric from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi, I will be visiting Disney land for the first time this week! Very excited and want to be as prepared as possible being a type 1 diabetic. Am I allowed to bring any snacks or drinks in case my blood sugar drops quickly?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Eric!

I'm so excited about your first visit to the Disneyland Resort in just a few days! It is currently Halloween Time, a fan-favorite season at the resort. You'll love the autumnal decorations, Halloween-themed attractions, and specialty treats.

You'll be happy to learn that Guests are welcome to bring food and drinks inside the Theme Parks. My family and I like to pack a small lunch bag filled with snacks, along with our reusable water bottles, each time we visit the parks. There are even bottle-filling stations located throughout both parks! It's important to keep in mind that there are certain restrictions and prohibited items that are not permitted at the resort, like loose ice and glass. Please check out the Disneyland Resort Rules for more information.

During your visit, be sure to take plenty of breaks to rest and enjoy the atmosphere. I highly recommend taking a ride aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat, visiting Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, and making time to enjoy entertainment.

The Disneyland App will be your best pal on the day of your visit. You will use it to enter the parks, check attraction wait times, place Mobile Orders for food and drinks, and so much more.

Eric, I hope you find this helpful. Please visit us again with your Disney vacation planning questions. I wish you the happiest visit!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
