We are visiting Disney in June and we purchased the Memory Maker. We are also going to Chef Mickey's and I was wondering is there a photographer that goes around with the characters or should I bring my own camera for those pictures?

Hello Katrina, thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love Memory Maker and I think that it is worth every penny. Not only is it convenient because you spend less time carrying around a camera, but it also ensures that everyone is included in the photo. You also get special 'surprises' after you get home and get a chance to look at all of your pictures. I've had characters like Olaf and Tinker Bell magically appear in some of my photos.

I'm so glad that you chose to dine at Chef Mickey's, it is my son's favorite Character Dining Experience. We always make dinner at Chef Mickey's the first dining reservation of our vacation because it's so high-energy and so much fun. Unfortunately there is not a PhotoPass photographer that follows the characters around to each table. You should bring your camera for this Character Dining Experience. There is however, a PhotoPass photographer just outside of Chef Mickey's in the waiting area. You and your family can pose with a Chef Mickey statue for a fun photo before your meal.

For character photos, I typically make a deal with the next table over. I will offer to take their family photos if they take ours. I have yet to have a refusal.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

Have a magical Walt Disney World Vacation!
