We are visiting disney for the first time in Sept. I have a 5 and 3 year old and would like to buy a princess dress for my daughter and something cars related for my son and have the resort put it in the room as a suprise. Will they do this for us?

    Hi Kim,

I'm not sure whether it would be feasible for a Cast Member to leave something in your room for your children while you're away at the parks.  They would certainly deliver items ordered from the Disney Florist.  Having them arrange something in the room that you purchased and brought with you may be more complicated. Of course, it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask.  Mention it at the concierge or guest services desk of your Disney resort and see what they recommend.

I have another suggestion, though.  On your way to dinner or to an afternoon/evening visit to the pool, leave your room with your whole family.  When you get to the lobby, pool, or restaurant, pretend that you forgot something and need to run back to your room for a moment.  The kids should stay with the other adult in your party while you head back and arrange the goodies you want them to find later.  I've done this a number of times and it works really well.  My son was none the wiser.  He was fully convinced that the surprises he found were left by his favorite Disney characters.

Sending you best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
