We're visiting Disney for the first time around the Easter Holiday this year. I know that this is a very busy time to go and was wondering which park you think would be best to visit on our first day since we arrive at noon? Which is the best for half day?

    Hello Angela,

3..2..1! The countdown must be on for your Disney vacation. I'm so excited for you and your family.

Are you staying at a Disney resort? If so, once your family is settled and unpacked, head for the theme park that is offering evening Extra Magic Hours (EMH) that day. While you may find crowds in the afternoon, I have found in my experience that the park begins to thin out the later it gets, especially as you enter the EMH's. You can see park hours and check EMH for your trip by clicking here.

My recommendation for a "half day" theme park is easy. Animal Kingdom. And my answer is not because of the lack of things to do there but solely because of times and hours. Very rarely is Animal Kingdom open past 5 p.m. because of the nature of the park. Animal Kingdom stays true to its name, so we humans need to leave so the wild adventure can continue!

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
