Hi Lori! Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Birthdays are magical at the Walt Disney World Resort, and if you can arrange details in advance, it is going to be the greatest day ever!
For celebrating your son’s birthday, there are two great options I would suggest to your family. If you are planning to start the big day with a breakfast celebration, I highly recommend Chef Mickey’s, which is a very special restaurant, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet with Disney Friends in a happy space. You will meet Disney Characters for photos and autographs and even sing and dance with them. Kids love it!
If you are planning to celebrate this special day at one of Disney’s theme parks, I would go to the Magic Kingdom Park, which is in my opinion the best one for his age range. I suggest you consider a character dining experience at The Crystal Palace, a buffet restaurant, inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the last 1800’s. It’s an all-you-care-to-enjoy experience, joining Winnie the Pooh and a feel of his pals. Last year my family celebrated my girl’s third birthday there, and it was awesome! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Dining reservations are highly recommended; you can click
here and make them online, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407)939-3463.
You can also order a birthday cake to be delivered to the restaurant. You can choose from a variety of cakes and shapes. For more information about ordering a cake, click
here. Remember a 72-hour advance notice is required.
Finally, to make his day magical, don’t forget to request a complimentary Happy Birthday button for him!
Hope this information helps your planning!
Have a magical celebration!
