    We are visiting Disney as a family celebrating our leap-year twins (boy/girl) turning 8, also with our five yr old daughter. Character and special meals are full. Is there a special area where we could get a birthday cake? Anything special to celebrate?

    Hi Nicole and welcome to the Disney Parks Mom's Panel. How fun that you are celebrating as we speak! If you haven't already, make sure you ask a Cast Member for two personalized Birthday Celebration Buttons. It is the quickest way to announce to everyone just what you are celebrating! There are many other ways to customize your celebration, as well, and many of them don't require advanced planning. If you will be there for a few days you may still have time to order a special cake or gift HERE. If you are short on time, though, do not despair. There are many ways to put together a celebration on your own. I love the adorable Birthday Hats and Birthday Mouse Ears that you can purchase almost anywhere in the Parks and Resorts. Your twins would love either of those! I pride myself on knowing about almost every delicious treat found at Walt Disney World and, let me tell you, you can't go wrong stopping into any bakery, confectionery, or store you come across and grabbing a yummy birthday cupcake or other delicious dessert. Celebrating special occasions is Disney's specialty so just look around and you will find lots of ways to make your children's birthdays the best they've ever had! One more thing-don't give up on Character Dining or any other Disney Dining options as things can change quickly and reservations can open up at any time. You can quickly check new availability by downloading the My Disney Experience app, watching the Disney Dining page on the Walt Disney World website, or by calling 407-939-5277.
