We are visiting Disney this December. My daughters are 4 years old. I was wondering if you recommend getting tickets to MVMCP. I am not sure how long they can stay awake! How much of the party is different than what you can experience during the day at MK?

    Hi Jen!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a fabulous event with special shows, a special parade, and a special fireworks show.  There's also free cookies and hot chocolate at select locations in the Magic Kingdom.  It's a lot of fun, but it does require a separate party ticket.

My advice is to skip the party, because you do have to buy a separate ticket, and you are already worried about your 4 year old staying up.  The party doesn't start until 7:00 pm and the parade and fireworks show are much later than that.  Thus, while I personally love the party, I recommend not doing it if you think your child won't be able to stay up until at least 10pm in the Magic Kingdom.  That's pretty late for very young guests.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
