We are visiting Disney between Dec 28-Jan 2, probably just 12/29 and 1/1. Other than Epcot's Candlelight Processional, what is happening holiday-wise on those days ... or have we missed it because it's after Christmas? Thank you.

    Hi Heather!

Although your vacation dates at Walt Disney World are after the Christmas Day itself, you will still find plenty of festive happenings in the parks.

The Magic Kingdom Holiday Parade will take place daily during your stay at 3:30pm in the afternoon. The parks will remain decorated as well as the resorts known for their special lobby decor. These include the gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian Resort and the chocolate carrousel in the Beach Club Resort. There will be something special in all of the deluxe resorts and all others will have plenty of festivity throughout.

The Candlelight Processional does indeed continue through December 30 as well as the beautiful extra holiday Illuminations show each night.

This year Hollywood Studios has added a new holiday happening called Sunset Seasons Greetings which includes lights, snow, and stories from many of the Disney characters along the Sunset Blvd. I am really excited to see and experience this for myself in just a couple of months. The Studios will also continue to play host to the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Projection show on the front of the Chinese Theater. Both of these special holiday events will continue to the end of December.

You will definitely still be able to experience many tastes of the Christmas holiday and even enjoy meeting Santa Goofy after the 25th. He comes in to relieve Santa from his duties since he needs a rest after such a busy year. He will definitely be at Disney Springs and often will show up in the parks as well so check the guides when you arrive or ask your resort concierge for that information.
