Visiting Disney with 5 children ages 2-8 so low crowd levels are very important. touringplans.com rates the week before Thanksgiving from 1-6/10 for crowds. Is this a good time to visit? Worried low crowds might mean less attractions open.

    Hello there Alexis!

Not only does Touring Plans recommend it, but Disney does as well. Here is a list of the lowest crowd level weeks according to Disney's website:

    Lowest Attendance:
January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February
The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week
The week following Thanksgiving until the week prior to Christmas

You will not have to worry about less attractions being open. Unless there is a refurbishment being done to a ride, they do not shut down rides due to crowd volume. The only ride that I know of that is sometimes on hiatus is Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress but everything else is typically always running. I hope this information helps you with your planning and if you have more questions, please ask away, we are always here to help! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
