We will be visiting Disney to celebrate my daughter's B-Day on July 2010. What type of shoes do u recommend for my daughter? tennis or would crocs work?

Hello Sylvia!  My biggest piece of advice to anyone traveling to Walt Disney World is to wear sport/running shoes.  Although Crocs are very comfortable, they do tend to slip off at times which could pose a problem.  July is a high peak time for Walt Disney World and people will be stepping without looking.  I am afraid your daughter may get the back of her heels scratched frequently and, as the day goes on, she may begin to feel it.  I have made the mistake of wearing sandals and my toes paid the price.  Wearing shoes that will cover the entire foot will guard against any "unwanted" steps.  Also, I am sure there will be times that you and your family will be walking at a quick pace and any type of sport shoe will provide the extra comfort to get to a certain destination quickly.  Now if Crocs are a favorite, I know that it will be hot in July and the Crocs would provide "breathing" room.  You could bring them along in a backpack since they are very lightweight.  Of course I am thinking of the traditional Crocs, but if you do have Crocs that do cover the entire foot and are very comfortable...well, they will do the job as well.  Just keep the crowds in mind.
Have a fantastic vacation and may your daughter enjoy a magical birthday here at Walt Disney World!
