We are visiting disney with 2 boys 5 & 9yrs old. We chose a meal plan and now I am having trouble choosing restaurants and finding availabilty. Do you have to make reservations or can you walk in and still get a table if you wait a little?

    Hi Jane!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

If you are visiting during a busy time of the year, such as the summer or during a holiday then you really need to have reservations, especially for the theme park restaurants and the more popular restaurants in the resort hotels.  In fact, during the busiest times of the year, you will often find signs outside the restaurants that says something along the lines of "no walk ups are allowed".

However, that said, I do suggest trying to walk up if you are unable to get a reservation for a restaurant you really want to try.  Guests miss their reservations for whatever reason.  That's especially true if the weather is bad, such as if it is raining.  Just be prepared for a long wait typically.

I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you, but I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
